Cocktails, Cocktails and More Cocktails (Review)

I’m drinking my way through this book, by Kester Thompson, starting in the middle with “Sex on the Beach”.  I chose this one because Thompson describes the 80’s powerhouse cocktail with the thought provoking, “although quite a pungent drink, its length and fruitiness make it go down easily.”  I had to give that one a try, or at least make one for my girlfriend.  The book provides a wide range of cocktails, along with in depth directions and techniques for all of them.  With the addition of historical facts and tidbits on the drinks and ingredients, it makes a good read as well as guide.  Pick it up.

Rating:  This one gets 4 beers and a shooter.
